The Comox Bay Sailing Club runs casual dinghy races on Wednesday evenings from April through September. The purpose of these evenings is to promote fun, community, skill development and fitness for sailors of all experience levels. We especially encourage new sailors to participate as it is a great way to build on your skills and meet other keen sailors!
All participants are required to volunteer for Race Committee. Two volunteers are needed each Wednesday, one of whom MUST have their PCOC. If you’re curious about racing or new to the sport, this is a great way to check out some of what we do at the CBSC. So grab a buddy and come on out! Please sign up for your volunteer time here.
In addition to the Wednesday races, the annual Tree Island Race is a fun family-oriented event where sailors race to Tree Island for an afternoon picnic and fun on the beach.
Race scores are tallied and the overall winner is awarded the prestigious Dinghy Championship Trophy at the annual awards banquet.
