CBSC Spring Work Party

Good Day CBSC Members and Fans!

What a glorious day we had last Sunday for our work party to clean up the docks and get the boats organized for sailing this year!  People are clearly excited about the upcoming sailing season which kicks off with the Keelboat Dirty Bottom Race scheduled for this Sunday (if you want to race on a keelboat please click here to put your name on the keelboat crew list).

Rob Douglas, CBSC Maintenance Director, did a great job organizing the work party and keeping people engaged and enthused about what needed to be done.  The following is a note directly from Rob along with a few photos!

Hello CBSC members,

I was blown away by the work accomplished today and I had to share my heartfelt thanks to everyone who was able to be there and for working so hard today.

We had a record turn out for our Spring launching work party and as a result we were able to tick off many more items than I imagined we could. We had close to fifteen members helping out and we did tasks ranging from boat launching to dock growth scraping. We rigged every boat in the fleet (11 Optis, 5 Lasers, 5 C420s) and either fixed many little issues, or made a to do list to tackle in the next couple of weeks.

We had members as young as seven and members full of wisdom and we all enjoyed a good day’s work in the sunshine!

Thanks again for making our club so great!

See you on the water!!

Rob Douglas
CBSC Maintenance Director

Thanks to Rob for all your efforts to make this a successful day!
